About Me

I’m Carol Watkins and I’m passionate about empowering energetic midlifers who are facing significant transitions and asking themselves ‘What’s next?’. Often, they are facing challenges like a recent downturn, an approaching retirement or after a successful career readying for something new as they enter their next chapter. My mission is to provide tools as they turn their vision into realities whether changing careers, exploring talents, or giving back to their communities. I work with my clients to design a next chapter that keeps them connected to their purpose and making a difference so that they have zero regrets about steps not taken at the end of their lives. Together we figure out your unique formula to craft a second act with maximum fulfillment.

I’ve lived through many interesting transitions myself. When I faced my own midlife crossroads, I felt frustrated, bored, and ready for a change in my life. I knew it was time to move on to create something new. I wanted my third chapter to be meaningful and memorable, but I just wasn’t sure how to get there so I get how challenging it is. Working with people I discovered that I’m not the only one that feels paralyzed when it’s time to make changes.

Curiosity became my superpower as I designed a roadmap forward. I found a real appreciation for all the choices, possibilities, and challenges that this transition brings. I discovered to create the life I was dreaming of, I had to befriend change, build on my personal strengths, and take courageous, positive calculated risks. I love empowering people that are at a turning point while tapping into their personal strengths, overcoming obstacles, and planning to move forward to reimagine their futures. We will use a four- step process to explore how to make the best use of your current opportunities and talents.

For the past 10+ years I’ve offered workshops for private organizations and the St Louis Community College. Some of my most popular workshops are Too Young to Retire, Transitions and Transformations, Thriving During Change, Finding Purpose and Passion in the Third Chapter and Courage, Risks and Rewards. My professional coach training is through Coach U. I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a member of the International Coaching Federation.

On a personal note, I am married to Kirk and live in St Louis MO. We are proud parents and grandparents to two adult children and four grandchildren.

If you find yourself at a crossroads in the second or third chapter of life and asking yourself, “What’s next?” I’d love to “meet” you by phone or Zoom to introduce ourselves. Let’s find out what’s possible for you in 2022!
